So stunning, So poised, So Sasha Pivovarova

Passion: Art
Hobby: World renowned supermodel. No big deal...

Her entrancing icy blue eyes are unmistakeable, her walk is as delicate as her 5 ft 8.5 frame but as ferocious as her white-blonde locks. None the less, Sasha Pivovarova is a 24 year old Russian beauty that has claimed her spot as a worldwide top supermodel and has made a mark in modeling and fashion that will never be forgotten.

Pivovarova studied Art History at the Russian University for Humanities, where she followed her artistic passions. Painting and sketching are a must-do and she claims to sketch on whatever she can find, hotel papers, casting papers, etc (interview with CNN). Evidently talented, Pivovorova is currently collaborating with Miuccia Prada to create a scrapbook that will include her personal artwork ranging from paintings, drawings, collages and photography. Other projects that the artsy beauty is currently working on include working with Dhani Harrison (son of the late Beatle, George Harrison) to design a clothing line that “recreates fashions of The Beatles era”. The line will be called “Here Comes the Son.” Pivovarova may also be illustrating for Karl Lagerfeld’s children’s book.

Her artwork is proudly displayed in Paris and her current home city, New York at the Mansion Grand, Manhattan.

Modeling was not a predicted life path in her eyes, and it wasn’t until her long-time friend (and current spouse) photographer Igor Vishnyakov (below) photographed her and submit the pictures to agency IMG in 2005- instantly beginning her successful career.

Name drops: Among other top designers, Sasha Pivovarova has walked for Chanel, Christian Dior, Elie Saab, Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga, Chloe, Valentino (the list goes on) and has been the face of Giorgio Armani, and Prada.
